A couple of my favorite brands are doing cool things for Black Friday / Small Business Saturday / Cyber Monday / Giving Tuesday. Here they are in one place so you don’t have to search.
I’ve been a faithful Passion Planner user since 2016 and while I don’t use every single one of its many features, I am probably a fan for life. The layout is exactly what I need and there’s still plenty of room for improvisation. Their Black Friday sale is 50% off undated and academic planners, starting 11/23/2018. Their Cyber Monday sale is $10 off 2019 planners from 8am-1pm PST and $5 off from 1pm-11:59pm PST on 11/26/2018.
Dubsado is the gift that keeps on giving. I already use it to manage contracts, send invoices, and collect questionnaires from clients. Now I can use it to schedule calls and appointments with clients! I’ve been using a free version of Calendly but now I can have unlimited appointment types, link them with intake forms, invoices, or contracts, and generally have everything better organized all in one place. Their prices go up on Tuesday 11/27/2018 at 4pm from $30/month to $35/month, but if you join a paid plan over the weekend, you’ll be locked into that rate for life. (Which is why mine only costs $10/month!)
For reference, a similar scheduler costs $8 at Calendly and $15 at Acuity. An equivalent electronic signature service costs $25/month through Docusign. It would cost $19/month to send forms through Jotform. Did I mention the bookkeeping functionality that I currently don’t use enough? That’s included in Dubsado’s monthly price too. You can also get a 20% discount on your first month if you use my Dubsado affiliate link here. If you want to receive something truly awesome for your business instead of yet another #bossbabe mug, ask for a Dubsado membership!
I’ve been using the Rocketbook Everlast for my Nanowrimo story as well as general business notes. I scan them to my e-mail, Google Drive, or Evernote, and then wipe them clean to reuse the pages. It’s a great paper-saving option that doesn’t sacrifice the mental stimulation of writing by hand. Now through December, Rocketbook will donate $1 for every notebook sold through their website to DonorsChoose.org. (This is an awesome platform that crowdfunds educational equipment and supplies so teachers don’t have to pay for them out of pocket.)
For the second year in a row, several of my clients are getting custom May Designs notebooks as thank-you’s. I love these because I can pick a cover that matches their personality and interior pages that fit their lifestyle or business needs. Their Black Friday sale is 40% off sitewide until 11/27/2018.
Not exactly a Black Friday deal because they have one every month, but the Tombow VIP Club box for November is pretty awesome. You get 12 new brush pens in new colors (which I OBVIOUSLY need more of), some tools for blending colors, lettering practice sheets, a roll-up marker case, and a color tracker to remind you how many more colors you need to buy. (Genius marketing, right there.)
These are a few of my favorite things at better-than-usual prices. As Maui says,
Happy Thanksgiving and capitalist extravaganza that follows!
